Workshops, writing and consultancy
Joanne teaches creative writing and drama in prisons and to the community. Recently she collaborated with writer Max Porter to produce Lifetime, a collection of writing from HMP Erlestoke where she runs weekly creative writing and wellbeing workshops.
Joanne's background is in education and publishing, including 10 years at the Institute of Physics Publishing as a senior production editor, and work at the University of the West of England, Wiltshire College & University Centre, and Bath Spa University. Joanne has also worked in schools, as a marketing manager for a management training company and has been a pre-school charity trustee. ​​​
